Bios:

Craig Bickhardt, an artist and an author, who was formerly signed with Bob Dylan’s manager Albert Grossman, had development deals with Atlantic records’ Ahmet Ertegun, had songs recorded by Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, BB King, Poco, Art Garfunkel, Janis Ian, Martina Mcbride, The Judds, Alison Krauss & Kathy Mattea, and placed two songs in the Robert Duvall Academy Award-winning film “Tender Mercies,” and shared a stage with Bruce Springsteen, Stephen Stills & Harry Chapin.

When Craig Bickhardt steps onto a concert stage, he comes equipped with his trusty acoustic guitar. A side musician or two will frequently join him. He’s also accompanied by something invisible, yet ever-present: the stories of a lifetime, vividly translated into words and melody. A Craig Bickhardt live set is a mix of absurd anecdotes and personal confessions, accompanying a well-stocked bag of original tunes and the occasional choice cover. His decades in music have given his performances the depth of experience – his love songs seem sweeter and more poignant, his story-song narratives more true-to-life than they could have in the past.

With his latest release, HOME FOR THE HARVEST, Craig Bickhardt demonstrates that folk music needn't be musically dull or iterative. Always in search of forms that challenge not only his songwriting abilities but also his considerable guitar chops and vocal skills, Bickhardt's accessible style is nearly unparalleled in the genre today. There are singers and there are pickers and there are song poets, but very few do all three as well as this."

A true musical journeyman, New England-based singer/songwriter Jesse Terry has made it his mission to share his love of music fully and completely, without regard for shading his emotions or tempering his convictions. The ability to create a connection, to bare his soul and express his feelings through his songs has been the defining thread in a career that began in 2010 and has spawned five albums (The Runner, Empty Seat on a Plane, Stay Here With Me, and his latest pair, Stargazer and Natural). A career that has seen Terry play over a thousand shows around the world, including such notable festivals as Bonnaroo, 30A Songwriters Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, and the Americana Music Association’s AmericanaFest.

Natural, a very sparse and acoustic album compared to its predecessor Stargazer, finds Jesse relying on a more organic approach to his music, while adding an additional layer of emotional impact with the help of some of the female singers he admires most: Dar Williams, Cary Ann Hearst of Shovels & Rope, Liz Longley, Kim Richey, Annie Clements, Sarah Darling and Erin Rae. The relationship between the two singers, the male and female -- the contrast in emotion, tone and texture -- became the focus of the album, while still keeping true to the power of a song, stripped down to one guitar.

“Jesse Terry is a gentle soul with a formidable songwriting talent and a clear artistic vision.” -- John Platt, WFUV-NYC

“Beautifully crafted songs from a master singer-songwriter.” -- Paddy MacDee, BBC Radio Newcastle

The Mansion on O Street is an unusual place and one of Washington’s best-kept secrets. It is a non-profit organization and museum, a bed and breakfast, a conference and event venue, and a private club. The Mansion was created more than 30 years ago by H.H. Leonards-Spero as a haven for artists and a place to allow visitors to unwind and be creative. The Victorian-style home resides on a quiet street in the heart of Dupont Circle and is actually five interconnected row houses with more than 100 rooms. The entire property is decorated with donated items and retains many period details from the 19th and 20th centuries. Everything is for sale (except for the guitars that have been signed by famous musicians). The décor is colorful and includes an eclectic collection of antiques and memorabilia. The furnishings change often. Over the years, The Mansion on O has been a haven for heads of state, foreign dignitaries, business leaders, writers, artists, musicians, and scientists.
