The Mansion on O Street Intimate Music Series
The O Museum in the Mansion is a nonprofit organization that celebrates the works of people who have devoted themselves to bettering the lives of others. Their mission is to empower people to do what they love. In addition to the events that are sponsored by SHC Music Tribe, they offer events filled with music and storytelling as part of an Intimate Music Series which allows you to get up close & personal with singer/songwriters. Past performers include Grammy & Academy Award winners & legends of all genres including Al Kooper, Alejandro Escovedo, Bobby Keys, Emmylou Harris, Darius Rucker, Esperanza Spalding, Felix Cavaliere, George Clinton, Jackson Browne, Jason Isbell, Joe Bonamassa, Lenny Kravitz, Lucinda Williams, Michael Jackson, Milk Carton Kids, Paul Williams, Richie Havens, Tommy Shaw and Yusef (Cat) Stevens. In Maryland
The Historic Cooper’s House of Oakland Mills is located just off US Route 29 between Columbia and Ellicott City, Maryland. The central stone structure was built in 1790 and is listed on the Howard County Registry of Historical Houses. The house was originally the home of the “cooper” who lived there and built barrels for the Oakland Flour Mills. Concerts are held in the “Great Room” and provide an intimate setting to hear great acoustic music.
In VA:
The Sevareid House is unique in the Washington, DC area and is an excellent example of the mid-Atlantic mid-century modern vernacular. It is the perfect setting for intimate concert gatherings with outstanding talent.
