Hello, My Friends,

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, or whatever special holiday you are celebrating.   I am looking forward to a happy new year in 2026 for all of us.

Here are some shows that I think you may be interested in, coming up in 2026.

On January 19, ITZALL Goode and SHC Music Tribe are presenting Bill Starks and Greg Hardin at 49 West.  Bill Starks and Greg Hardin bring a relaxed, roots-driven chemistry to the stage, blending strong songwriting with easy harmony and seasoned musicianship. Their set moves comfortably between folk, Americana, and blues, shaped by shared stories, sharp guitar work, and an unforced, conversational rapport with the audience.  Have a listen:  Peace, Love & Boogie Woogie.

TICKETS are available onl,ine or you can also call and reserve a spot at (410) 626-9796.  If you buy a ticket online, please do not call 49 West to reserve.  Your ticket is your reservation. If you have a special request, email me at shcmusictribe@gmail.com

In February, SHC is hosting two incredible shows at 49 West.  The first is the monthly ITZALL Goode Concert Series featuring The Honey Dew Drops, which will be held on Monday, February 16, at 7:30.  The Honey Dewdrops are a Baltimore-based folk duo known for their close harmonies, inventive songwriting, and fluid interplay between guitar, mandolin, and banjo. Their music blends traditional roots with contemporary folk, creating songs that feel both timeless and fresh, delivered with warmth, precision, and an easy onstage rapport. Online TICKETS available, or you can reserve by calling 410-626-9796.  Check out these videos:   YouTube Videos.

On Friday, February 20 at 7:30, SHC is bringing back The Young Fables to 49 West.   The Young Fables are a Nashville-based Americana duo whose sound blends classic country, folk, and soulful pop influences. Their performances are driven by heartfelt songwriting, powerful vocals, and jaw-dropping guitar work that adds energy, texture, and a modern edge to their polished, emotionally resonant sound.  They were so good at the ITZALL Goode concert in October, I wanted to do it again.  Here you can find TICKETS. Again, you can also call 49 West at 410-626-9796.  Please do not do both.

Below my signature is the full list of 2026 shows.  Detailed info and ticket links can be found at shcmusic.com or HERE.  More to come.

I do hope to see you at one of them.  Happiest of New Year to all of you,u my friends. Thank you for your support.

Hello My Friends,

March certainly came in like a lion in 2025.  I am looking forward to the spring weather.   On March 17,  the 2024  AMERICANAFEST Official Showcase Artist ,  A Tale of Two, returns to ITZALL Goode Concert Series as the featured artist.   TICKETS are $20 online and $23 at the door.

A Tale of Two is also the “Official Showcase Artist at the 2022 Folk Alliance International Conference” & the 2022 Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Contest Finalist."

Combining the best of Americana and blues melodies with timeless Southern storytelling, award winning vocalist Stephanie Adlington and guitarist Aaron Lessard draw influence from the likes of Tom Waits and Ray LaMontagne, along with bedrock artists such as Patsy Cline and Hank Williams Sr. A Tale Of Two has opened for notable artists such as Mary Gauthier, Grayson Capps, and Peter Mulvey.  Not unlike the artists who inspired them, the duo’s songs frequently dabble in stories of revenge and drinking and feature sinners of all stripes and persuasions.   I am all for that!

This will be a memorable show,  I hope you can make it.

Tickets and information about future shows can be found at shcmusictribe.com

Hello Friends,

Happy September!  The summer is coming to an end and as we prepare for school openings and fall celebrations, let me add a few items to your must-go-to events.

On September 16 at 7:30 PM, ITZALL Goode and SHC are proudly presenting Americana/Folk/Country artists Marc Douglas Berardo and Kelley Mickwee at 49 West.

Marc Douglas Berardo released a new record in May 2024 called “The Beauty of This Now”. Recorded at Jumping Dog Studio in Austin TX, it was produced by Walt Wilkins and Ron Flynt. Kelley lends her beautiful voice to a track from the record, “Hearts In Play”.

Kelley Mickwee's record,  “Everything Beautiful” is in the works. The first single from that record, “Verge of Tears” Written by Kelley Mickwee and Jed Zimmerman was released on August 30, 2024..

This will be a night for celebrating new songs and it is happening on September 16 at 7:30 PM at 49 West Coffeehouse, Winebar, and Gallery in Annapolis.  TICKETS are $20 in advance and $23 at the door.  We prefer if you buy a ticket so we know you're coming. You can still reserve by calling  410-626-9796.  Please DO NOT do both, you will be doubling your reservations.  Reply to this message if you have any questions.

SHC Is going to Nashville for Americanafest 2024.  The first of two events is on 9/18 from Noon to 5 at Brown's Diner.  Featured artists appearing at this Songwriter Showcase include AmySpeace, Walt Wilkins, Marc Douglas Berardo, Grant Peeples, Goldpine, David Starr. Grace Pettis and Robby Hecht.  This is the first time SHC has hosted at this venue and I am very excited.

On 9/20 The East Coast Social Club is having its annual meeting at the Bowery Vault, a vintage clothing store and a sounding venue.
The event starts at Noon and ends at 4:30 PM.  Featured artists are: Louise Coombe (a.k.a Louise Mosrie Coombe), Amelia White, Kelley Mickwee, Marc Douglas Berardo, Walt Wilkins, and Abbie Gardner.

These are both great daytime events in Nashville in September.  Both are Free.  Donations for the performers are more than welcome.  The artists from both events can be heard on this Spotify Playlist.  I hope to see my Nashville friends there.

You will not want to miss Marc Douglas Berardo and Walt Wilkins'Beauty of This Now Tour 2024 at Hank Dietles, in Rockville, MD on September 25 at 8 PM

“In a modern world thick with instigators — people who seem to wake up each day and decide whether they want to get their enemies or allies the most riled up this time around — Walt Wilkins comes off as an unlikely radical. This is a man at peace, and he’s gonna try like hell to get you right there with him.… In a loud and conflict-rich world, maybe there’s nothing more radical than being the guy who’s already soundtracking the calm after the storm.” – Mike Ethan Messick, Texas Music Magazine

"Marc Douglas Berardo writes songs that are witty without being superficial, intelligent without being ponderous, fun without being silly. He performs them with an infectious verve. On top of that, he doesn¹t seem to have the slightest idea of just how good he is.” David Olney, Songwriter and Performer, Nashville, TN

Future shows at 49 West - TICKETS TO ALL SHOWS

10/21 -   Dirk Hamilton and Graham Weber
11/03 -   Ari Hest
Stay tuned for information on the annual holiday show at 49 West.

Hello All,

I hope everyone is staying cool.  What a hot summer!  Speaking of hot summers, Eric Scott's ITZALL Goode Concert Series and SHC Presents  at 49 West Coffeehouse, Winebar, and Gallery have quite a lineup coming in the next few months. You can get TICKETS ONLINE for  $20 or call (410) 626-9796 for a reservation for $23.00.  Do not call and reserve if you bought a ticket online.   That is your reservation.

Our next show features Pete Best and The Rachel Hall Band on July 15 at 7:30 PM   Rachel Hall is a singer/songwriter/guitarist known for her powerhouse voice. Fans compare her to Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Brandi Carlile, and Janis Joplin.

Already a popular voice in the Baltimore/Washington Area before moving to Nashville, Pete and his band Peterbuilt-have opened for established stars, including Jack Ingram and Pat Green.  Growing up in Annapolis, Md., Pete enjoyed a variety of musical styles but developed a passion for country music because of the lyric-driven content of the songs.  “It’s great to connect with an audience, but  I am first and foremost a songwriter,” Pete says. “I love to tell a great story through music.”

On September 16, the featured artists are SHC favorite Marc Douglas Berardo and Kelley Mickwee.   Mickwee has been a mainstay in the Texas-based music scene for years: currently, as part of Kevin Russell’s Shinyribs’ Shiny Soul Sisters, singing harmony and background vocals at his live shows and recordings; as one-fourth of the acclaimed Americana group The Trishas, with Jamie Lin Wilson, Savannah Welch and Liz Foster; and before then as one-half of a Memphis, TN-based duo Jed and Kelley. But sometimes what gets lost in the shuffle of all the well-deserved acclaim for what she adds to other artist’s projects is the music she makes in her own right.

Kelley sings a duet on the song “Hearts In Play”, a track on Marc's new record “The Beauty Of This Now”.   This record was recorded at Jumping Dog Studio in Austin and produced by Texas living legend, Walt Wilkins and his production partner Ron Flynt. It has a host of Texas nobility performing on the record. He also released a video for “I'm Listening Now”, another song from the record.  He will have some new songs and CDs to share with you.

In October, songwriters, New Mexico-based Dirk Hamilton and Graham Weber from Texas are featured artists.

“Like most facets of professional show biz, the music industry can be a fickle affair. Artists that steal the spotlight one moment are easily discarded the next. Talent and tenacity have little to do with that equation. Indeed, some of the most insightful artists making music in both the present and the past are often confined to a status that remains well below the radar, creating their art for devoted fans and critics who bemoan their lack of wider recognition. Dirk Hamilton is one such artist…” - Lee Zimmerman, American Songwriter

About Graham, The Austin Monthly writes, “The Austin folk songwriter takes a step toward the avant-garde on Faded Photos. Fusing his throwback inspirations, including the great John Prine, with modern-day art-rock acts like Wilco, Weber is a promising addition to the live music circuit, with particular thanks to his bare-boned lyrics.”

I know Monday nights are hard, but I hope you can make one or all of these shows.  100% of the door goes to the artists.

See you soon,
Susie
